These resin propeller sets for Airfix's new Blenheim are the latest items in SBS Model's impressive and expanding range of resin bits and pieces and pre-cut masks for aircraft and AFV kits. Essentially a straight swap for the kit parts, these resin versions are finely cast and considerably more detailed that the kit items. No assembly jig is provided though, so care should be taken when fixing the individual propeller blades in place. The extra effort should be worth it though, as these sharply detailed items are as good as any I've seen.

Conclusion

As with the other items we reviewed recently from SBS Model, I have to say I'm very impressed. The key elements of detail, ease of use and quality of manufacture all seem to be present, making these items as good as any from the likes of Aires or Eduard. Recommended.

Hi Paul,

I second that it is nice replacement, just used it on my Blenheim build as well. Anyway, does mentioning the Beaufighter in the first sentence mean any secret message? :-)

The main drawback to these sets looks to be the lack of a Quickboost style alignment tool.
