busnproplinerfan
Has anyone built the Testors Concorde? a bit smaller than 1/72. I made two many years ago, restored both, yet to finish decals. They have a very short tail cone, which I noticed after I painted them wondering why they would have short tails. I never saw photo of a short tail cone. Pin
As to "short cone" - there are three distinctive versions of the Concorde: - 001 and 002 - first prototypes - "blind" nose and short tail - 101 - second prototypes - visor with larger transparent area, short tail - 102, 201 onwards - Concorde as we know it (almost) More here: http://www.concordesst.com/prototypes.html Edited January 22, 2015 by Pin

busnproplinerfan
001 002 101 102 Thanks, never looked that closely at the Concorde.
garryrussell
According to the timeline in the link above this is from 1967 So it will be of the same version Airfix modelled, that is as was then, but even the prototypes that followed a couple of years later had some refinements. busnproplinerfan
Excellent, thanks, just have to redo my decals for the two I have, or sell them off, not sure, would like a 1/72 version.
Pin
There are two different 1/144 Airfix Concorde kits - first prototype and production
garryrussell
Yes two versions of the Airfix but the post was referring to 1967 and the prototypes flying after the Airfix model, so that point is not really relevant
