Hasbro Millenium Falcon, grab it while you can

Argos has it now for 21,99£!

Luckily I was visiting London for 4 days and could grab one and I still can not believe I could find it that cheap (considering everything else is ridiculously expensive for a foreigner: food, electronics, clothing... even tube tickets)

Beware though, the customer service (or here more precisely, non existing, I'd dare to say) of Argos. If you stock an item, you should have a bag to fit it, right? Or at least you should arrange some way to help your customer to carry it.

Argos, is unashamedly stack 'em high, chuck 'em out quick no frills shop. Most of thier ordering is done via thier catalogue, home delivery or internet. So cut them some slack. They at least get the deals!

I made a reservation on 17th of January from Strand (68-69) shop and took it on 18th.

The item number is 281/4964 but I can't find it either right now.

I got one when it was £29.99 and the following week it was £21.99. Now it's back at £59.99 I think but since the Argos site is down for a revamp I can't check. The X-Wing was back to its normal price last time I checked. As a base for a good model it's excellent, I'm in the process of painting mine in primer and some of the interior in black to block the leds from shining through the hull. I got Plastikote matt black, grey primer and warm grey (which looks exactly the same as the paint used on the DeAg model) so I'm quite happy.

If anyone wants to see the level of detail, have a look at this.

I've scratchbuilt some detail pieces to go into the six vents on the back of mine, and wondered if anyone would be interested in a set if I cast some more up ?
They're not accurate to the filming model but once they're under some mesh or photoetch I think they look cool enough.

Better pics of the detail pieces I've built to go into the six vents on the back of the Falcon. £20 inc postage, if anyone's interested in a set

Argos now have it at £24.99.

Seriously thinking of buying a third one at that price, though the divorce costs would probably not make it worth while!!
