Rickpadwick1801
Hi Everyone, Just wondering whether anyone would be interested in a Mustang group build for 2016? I am sitting here watching a Supercars program on the mustang from NatGeo HD and it has set me thinking about building another Mustang. My proposal is that you can build any model of Mustang, any era, any colour etc. Let me know if you would be interested. Lets bring the horses to life and launch the Pony Express EDIT : This is know a Mustang Car STGB. So anything 4 wheeled with the name Mustang are viable choices. PARTICIPANTS LIST 1) Rickpadwick1801 2) MadSteve 3) Graham77 4) depressed lemur 5) richellis 6) Suicide Badger 7) snapper_city 7 down, 8 to go. Cheers, Rick Edited January 21, 2015 by Rickpadwick1801

A5h
Sorry Rick not me, I did one in September and tried a Saleen version to replicate the barricade car from transformers using a Revell GT500. Kit was quite good but being a novice I kinda bit off more than I could chew especially when all that was the same was the damn wing mirrors!!!!! Now Im put off for life................... Or maybe a couple of years till I am brave enough to try it again which puts me beyond next year Edited January 19, 2015 by A5h
AnonymousDFB1
You're always going to have a hard slog getting a car GB going just ask Mad Steve. We've had a few goes around F1, Lotus STGB to name a couple. most members build aircraft but get fifteen interested members and I can give it a date. D1fuN0
Howzit Rick Mish is totally right, 10000 odd members on BM, but we seriously struggle to get 15/30 of them to put their names down to do a GB/STGB, yet, we see car and bike threads and finished models being shown all the time... And.... People then still moan because they dont see enough cars and bikes. You've seen yourself, just trying to get a second Motorcycle GB going, and a Panigale STGB going is a struggle of note. Its understandable, the majority subject will always be Aircraft, but sometimes the yahoo, oddball esoteric mad people that build things with wheels and tyres also need a go. (Think of us like the mad uncle no one ever speaks too ) If I was you, Change this to a Mustang Single Type Group Build, get 15 bods and you'll have a go'er But in the meantime, Sign me up. Graham77
I'm always happy to have an excuse to build a Mustang (4 wheeled aswell as 3) so I'll add another to your number... Just 12 to go
depressed lemur
I promised myself I wouldn't sign up for any more GBs as I never seem to get the time to post a WIP, but MUSTANG???? Sign up the Lemur, I will talk with my mate Badger as I am sure he will be interested.

Steve OK, I have changed this to an STGB instead of just a car build. You can now build anything with the name Mustang (winged or wheeled). I will put you on the list. I'm always happy to have an excuse to build a Mustang (4 wheeled aswell as 3) so I'll add another to your number... Just 12 to go Added to the list, thanks Graham. AnonymousDFB1
Stick with a Mustang car option that way it is a STGB if you add aircraft it will become GB needing 30 interested members and then risk the voting.

depressed lemur
Spoke with Scuicide Badger and he is up for it. If this goes ahead I might look at the big Revell beast and see what I can change on it.

I looked at the big scale Revell beast before I built my first Mustang and am thinking about it again. You could always make it into the Knight Rider car from the 2008 series with the light under the hood etc. Rick
depressed lemur
I was thinking either opening the doors and scratching the kickplate with lights or going the whole hog any converting to a cabriolet, though that is a but extreme

Rickpadwick1801
I always thought KITT was based on a Firebird/Transam? Hi Mish, Yes the original KITT from the Hoff's series was a Pontiac Trans am,however when they bought the series back in 2008, KITT was changed to the Cobra version of the new style Mustang. I have one in the stash. Count me in. Welcome to the list, you are number 7 that means we only need 8 more people. Surely there must be 8 more people who like mustang cars out there? Cheers, Rick
depressed lemur
I always thought KITT was based on a Firebird/Transam? Hollywood knows no bounds when it comes to destroying a good story. The follow up tv series from the film had KITT "transform" into a pick up truck!!!
