Hi,

Can I join with the following please:

  • Roden Gladiator Met/Foreign Service

I might have a go at rigging !!

An excellent choice! The 'foreign service' bit sounds particularly interesting

Think I'll go for the S&M sycamore kit.

That ticks all the boxes for me :).  Will you be choosing a civil scheme?

Thanks Cliff - although given my recent form on GBs I wouldn't get too excited

Doing a quick bit of googling it appears that other than the M4 / M4A1 Sherman radial engines were also used in the M3, M7, M12, M18, M30, M40 series as well as the Sexton, Kangaroo and Ram - all of which I have in the stash!!! (I have a lot of tanks!!).

Seems like it might be a good time to build a Mirage M3 Grant, especially as I have just picked up a set of W210 tracks so I can correctly do a British one in North Africa.

Are rotary engines (Clerget etc) allowed?

Oh yes :).  Any radial or rotary engine is allowed, as long as it has pistons.

So...    no Mazda RX-7 then.

Definitely not Enzo.  Wankels don't rock (they are much too refined ;)).

Think I shall be running with a DC3 of Transport Command ?

A great choice MA - a radial engined classic!

I do hope that you do at least one of these Bonhoff, as IMHO there are too few WW1 aircraft in BM GBs:popcorn:

Nor certain Hercules, Norton or Suzuki motorcycles

remind me please; when are we up?

I remember the Hercules as DKW (same thing, I know).  An incredibly adventurous period in motorcycle design - made my old BSA Starfire look archaic (which indeed it was).  I loved it nevertheless!

The GB kicks off on 29th July, so plenty of time for us to change our minds about what we are going to build.....

Cheers

Please count me in. Definitely going to commit to a Martin B-10 of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force in early 1942, with a Bristol Beaufort Mk. I of 415 Sqn., RCAF and possibly also "Warby" Warburton's Martin Maryland as secondary possibilities, time permitting.

I am currently building a grey and black post-war RAF Mosquito in the DH Mega GB.  For the Made In Britain GB, I hope to build a Beaufighter in the grey and black scheme.

It only seems fair that I should continue the grey/black theme in this GB with a Bristol Brigand.

All three would be interesting subjects Sabre-days and I'm personally very pleased that you've picked that particular B-10 as your first choice :)

That sounds like a plan Enzo.  Are ultimately aiming for the full 50 Shades?

If I can think of fifty aircraft in that scheme.  Canberra, Lancaster, Lincoln...  any more?
