dawkuk
Hiya. I decided to start my new project. It is fifth on here. I got one finished (Quad), 2 under contruction (Sd.Kfz. 222, and a plane Ki-46) and one... let's say it's finished. As 222 is waiting for decals, which I hope will happen soon, I wanted to start new, small thingie. The choice was obvious - 1/4 Ton 4x4 Truck made by Dragon. It's armored - a little field invention and it's got lovele .50 cal Machine Gun. It is my first Dragon model. I've got a little inbox for you, lads. The box. Too bad the model doesn't include figures. But it's not gonna be just that. The armor. I've decided to make a little vignette also. Never done vignettes - this'll be a first one. Hope you'll help me. That's the body... Chasis and stuff... The biggest sprue in the box. Aaand the nicest one - .50 cal MG. That is it for now. Enjoy.

dawkuk
OK, So i started to get cracking on this baby... It's a car so it starts with chassis. Dragon have given us a very detailed model... Lotsa small parts. This front axis is a 6-part thing. Other bits & pieces. And the tyres... Both axis on their place. It does look good. More parts coming to complete the chassis. Aaand it's done. It starts to look like a car. From underneath. Also started to work on engine. Aand an overview. Yeah. That is all for today, folks. See ya next time.

dawkuk
Looking good, Rick. I got few more pics of mine: Engine assembled. It wasn't easy. Intrukction is not really clear about some of the parts. I'm not even sure if i got it right. Had to trim some element in order to fit it into the chasis. Also - the body work. Engine on wheels. Engine part nearly ready - just cooler left to build... And the whole engine covered. That's it for today Enjoy Dawid

dawkuk
Thank you, Rick, Steve... Here's some more... I started to work on interior. It's really easy as the details in the real thing was kempt to an absolute minimum. There was also more problems with the instruction and couple of things... Also... I somehow got the driver's seat frame damaged. Couldn't fine the rest of it. Have to figure something out with that. Got an idea. We'll see how it works. Dashboard... The backseat. The mounting of it is different than what's in manual. Aaand the cooler. That is it, folks. Next step: painting of engine and its, surroundings Enjoy

dawkuk
Long time no see, lads. But Amored truck is back no bench: Engine block all black. Aand the armor. Fitting will be a little bit tricky. Wheels. I got some phoro reference that indicates that engine was actually in Olive Drab. Paint goes on. I also decided to put a little figure. It's a Master Box' "Casualty of War" set. Requires a bit of putty. Next step was attaching engine. It doesn't fit very well. It will be closed and almos invisible, so i narrow down the weathering to absolute minimum. That is it for now. It;s a little chaotic, but it goes somewhere... PS. Oh, I also started with a base. Enjoy.
dawkuk
Long time no see on this one, but I finally got it out of the box. Looks like most of the parts are on they're places: Little PE parts vere tricky, but I managed. Somehow... There are some parts to be glued, still. Overall, Jeep is quite tiny but complex. Time for priming... ...and pain(t). Enjoy Dawid
FrancisGL
It's a nice kit, so small yet so detailed. Good progress so far, cheers
robw_uk
nice... i am on the hunt for a 2nd vehicle to accompany my M5A1 in some sort of recce movement diorama... this is tempting (also looking at the Tamiya Willys, M8 and M20) to be in a street scene (some sort of orders group or the commanders of the 2 vehicles looking at a map while the crews mingle or "relax" (as much as they could any way))
dawkuk
Hiya. Got the paint on and few pictures. I took them in really sharp light, so they're quality isn't great. But here they are. That's the base coat put over darker tones of Olive Drab. Then i started to lighting up going towards the front of the vehicle. I used. US Olive Drab Modulation Set. Six jars set form AK-Interactive. And that's the whole thing painted. I hope you can see the difference. I post produced pics in Lightroom with some preset filters which unified the colours a bit. Next step: Decals. Enjoy. dawkuk
Hiya. Long time no-see, but that doesn't mean project sits quietly. Well, it doesn't. Lot to show today. Here it is: First: decals. I sprayed whole thing with Tamiya's Gloss Varnish. The clocks were a bit tricky due to small size. I also used Micro Set and Micro Sol fluids for the decals. "The scene" also grows. Slowly but... Next step: interior weathering. I I did AK-Interactive's Wash, then som oil paint filters and sponge chipping. After all the work, I put a coat of acrylic satin varnish. Let's move outside. First: wash (the same as interior) Truck is quite structured, so wash sits really good on it. Doesn't it? Then I did a little filter and sctratches, chippings etc. I used sponge soaked in Tamiya's XF-63. Then I put some oils on it to add some richness. Time for streaking effects. There it is. I used differen't Streaking Effect fluids form AK-Interactive. The last part was to put Ultra Matt Varnish to whole truck. Freaking cat's hair everywhere... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. And a clear path to RFI section I really like this one. Especially with that dead-matt look. Even taking pictures is much easier, as the surface doesn't reflect any lihgt. Also, did some dry muds and dusts. I did those with AK's and MIG's pigments and then i fixed those with AK's fixer. That is it for now. Enjoy.
