It’s been busy at NAM today, as well as hosting a visit by members of the Royal Institute of Navigation; a BBC TV crew have been filming an intro for the new series of Bargain Hunt using the Jaguar; and survey work has commenced on the Southfield Site for our Project Panini (Mod) development project.

Details about the survey work can be found in here!

As we try to cope with what Sunday Vulcan visitors might bring; some fresh information has been added in here about access to XM594 etc. http://www.newarkairmuseum.org/latest-news

Museum emails swept again first thing this morning and still nothing official received; just working off information that is circulating via the Internet – we should cope somehow, but please follow any local advice that you may encounter.

Our long-term offer of allowing public access to various museum aircraft, including Vulcan XM594 continues to attract a good number of visitors to the museum, not least during the current half term holiday week.

We would also like to remind people that on Sunday 8th November we will be holding our annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the RAF Winthorpe Memorial.

Details about our open cockpit opportunities and Remembrance Sunday can be found in here!

Details about an appeal for event participants for an event next March have just been added to the museum website.

The event is part of several being organised in the Newark area to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of attack on the Ransome & Marles bearing factory on 7th March 1941.

Our event will take place on Sunday 6th March and will feature a re-enactment of the rescue efforts in the local factory after the Luftwaffe air raids.
