Ingo Degenhardt
Here's my recently finished Tamiya Mk. IV. I put it on a rather simple base in a somewhat less dramatic environment, but as can be seen it has had it's share of mud and fighting. I also added some Figures by Master Box (Infantry and POW) and D-Day Miniatures (Tank Crew/Officer)
Ingo Degenhardt
The two tank men are investigating some small caliber hit on the left sponson below the MG. 4
Ingo Degenhardt
I used various pigments by MIG and AK Interactive as well as 'wet effects' by MIG in order to try to achieve some mud still wet on the lower edge of the sides with dried mud above and on the track links.
Ingo Degenhardt
These are the Master Box figures. I tried to achieve different shades of uniform colour on the two british infantrymen by using Vallejo's "English Uniform" as a base and adding a little white and/or Green to paint a pair of trousers or a jacket. Not really to be seen in the picture.
Ingo Degenhardt
The mud on the tracks is Mig's "Dry mud", thinned with enamel thinner and brushed on. Then I added some pigment fixer and this is how it turned out.
Ingo Degenhardt
Rear of the tank. The unditching beam received some reworking to add a little wood structure. The metal plates on the beam are painted brown but are heavily chipped. I did this by experimenting a little with AK's "heavy chipping".
Ingo Degenhardt
The tank brown is a mixture of the kit-suggested Tamiya paints plus a little dark brown from Revell aqua colour because the Tamiya mix seemed to be a little too much on the light side in my opinion. But who knows what is right... Oh yes, and it runs! Very slowly, but climbs books, kit boxes, pushes away paint jars... :-)

keefr22
Absolutely superb Ingo - the tank, the paint, the weathering, the figures & the story it tells! It all adds up to a simply wonderful diorama! Really excellent work all round! Keith

Fatboydim
Excellent build Ingo. I like the weathering, you have made a good job of it. I like the way you lashed the unditching beam down with rope, nice touch. Also, the tanker with the cigarette in the corner of his mouth, and the mud on the figures boots. These little details all bring it to life. As Keith wrote, it all adds up to a very good diorama. Well done!
