Filipe Fonseca
Hi Guys Season Greetings! This is the newest project on the bench! The Italeri 1/72 Mirage 2000c. Still not much done. Adding some details to the cockpit and prepping things up for primer and paint. Details on the rear part of the tub will only be added when the fuselage is closed with the cockpit in place. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to comment Best Regards Filipe
JOAN
Nice start ! looking good. what is the overall accuracy of this kit ? olivier
sroubos
I build this one OOB last summer. As I recall I had major issues getting the seat to fit with the canopy closed, had to slice of the sides of the seat. The gun barrels and troughs are a bit of a spurious fit as well. Apart from that an easy build.

Filipe Fonseca
Hi Guys Thank you for the support! I´m not really sure about the full accuracy of this mirage, Oliver, but I think its the only option in this scale. When finished it looks like the real thing! At least I hope so! Thanks for the heads-up Sroubos. I will be leaving the canopy open, the seat does need some sanding to fit in the tube, it a bit on the chubby side! Here´s a small update on the Mirage, fuselage is closed and all extra detail is added on the cockpit, I have also chopped the front landing gear doors that are rude and molded with the fuselage sides. Later on I will make some new ones. I have also extended the exhaust to make it a little more plausible. Filipe Fonseca
Hi Guys Thanks for the support! I´m not sure Oliver, I didn't even search it, I´m going to use the ones included in the box. Here´s a small update, the cockpit is almost done. Seat ready for belts and detail painting. jean
That 2000 looks promising. I believe Heller did a 2000 in 1/72. I remember accuracy problems with the angle of the leading edge and implantation of the wing on this model. But it stills look like a 2000C, so who's complaining? Keep on the great work! Tempestwulf
Always about the 2000 that's been pleasing to the eye. Probably the shape and cool blues used for camoflage.
Filipe Fonseca
Hi Guys Thank you for the support! The Mirage is going along. Lots of putty and sanding and it is finally looking like something. Fully primed and the main grey color applied! Now its time for the blue!
