BerndM
Hi, another one from my 1/72 collection. This time the P3 from Revell, my smallest tank so far in this scale.Build in March of this year.No real problems, but the size made it very fiddly ( length and single link tracks) Build OOB, but replaced the gun barrel with a metal one from RB. Here the pictures done in two sessions using different backdrops I hope you like it Cheers Bernd
Darby
Nice dirty finish. I've been toying with the idea of a 72/72 AFV of late. Don't know about individual links though. Eyes aren't what they used to be
PlaStix
Hi Bernd, If it wasn't for the matchstick in the first photo I would have sworn it was 1/35 rather than 1/72! Superb modelling, painting and weathering skills!! It really looks like it's a well used and battered tank. Fantastic! That kind of weathering is something I aspire to! I fear I have a ways to go - I will try and do more on my 1/76 Tiger when I next get chance. Can I please ask how you get some of the worn metal effects? Kind regards, Stix

Kind regards, Stix Hi Stix, thank you very much for the kind works, i am really glad you like this little one. This could be something for you, only the gray is sprayed the white is an acrylic color from Revell ( quite cheap here, as well the kit) The tracks were painted in a mix of Revells rust brown and a metallic color. The whole kit got, after the paint was on, a wash (bath) in a dark acrylic mix I am using acrylics with a special thinner, which slows the drying process. The tracks and parts of the kit were drybrushed with Graphit sanded ndown from a pencil, applied with a soft brush, if you try it out, don t forget a layer of a clear varnish to protect it Cheers Bernd

BerndM
Great job on such a small subject Bernd, it just proves it doesn't have to be big to be beautiful Brian Thank you very much for your compliment,Brian. And you are right, modern tool kits in this scale are quite nice detailed right out of the box. This was one of the reasons to start a collection in 1/72. Nice and relaxing builds and not much expensive aftermarked stuff. I am glad you like it

Natter
Wow. If it weren't for the matchstick I would have thought that was 1/35th. It's brilliant.

AFVs in 1/72 are good for the precious space. Here is a pic from my complete collection of small scale tanks, the sub is in 1/72 too
