sroubos
Wow... this must be what Eduard meant with their big 72nd revolution! They are going to corner the market on all the big WWII fighters! And I haven't gotten round to building the first of my AZ Models kit!
DominikS
I only wonder when. It's time to start saving money for dozens of Spits.
PhantomBigStu
any word on if its just going to be a late c type or is there going to be and e wing version?
Thomas V.
Both c and e boxings will be made. Parts breakdown will be similar to that of their 1/144 kit. Edited December 3, 2014 by Thomas V.
TEMPESTMK5
Good evening That is a very good news ..at least 2 dozens for me please .. Edited December 3, 2014 by TEMPESTMK5
occa
I was expecting this, if it's anything close to the accuracy of the 1/48 version it will be a winner !! Just lets hope the devil doesn't strike and they make no errors.
Rick Brown
Sigh, I was hoping for a good, reasonably priced, up-to-date, MKV. Rick.
Adats-Coyote
Holy messerschnitzell! My god, 1/72 is reclaiming it's title as the one true scale IMHO... Eduard stuff in 72 will be great! My wallwet will be forever empty... Any other surprises?
Beard
Sigh, I was hoping for a good, reasonably priced, up-to-date, MKV. Rick. Let's hope Airfix have one hiding behind one the advent calender doors. Not that I'm too unhappy with Eduard making a MkIX though.
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
Good news then! Best get my 1/48 Eduard Spit built first. Hopefully they will do the wingtips differently than AZ, so no sawing off bits of wing to fit a standard wing! thanks Mike

DominikS
My poor wallet. Any idea when it will be released?
Procopius
My poor wallet. No kidding. I don't normally buy more than one or two of any kit, but this one? Ten, at least, if it's as good as their Hellcats. My favorite marks of my favorite plane of all time.
DominikS
I hope they'll be as good as Hellcats (I'm currently building one and I must say it's wonderful, stressless work). According to Czech forum first edition should be in August (Nasi se vreacei - The Boys are Back). But I'm waiting more for Mk.VIII, which is my favourite. Now we have to be patient and rob a bank ;-P I have to start organising my "warehouse".
sroubos
Their 72nd scale Hellcat is the best kit I have ever built, period. I am hugely excited by this announcement, especially as I don't have any VIIIs or XVIs in my stash.
wellsprop
When's it coming out? It's likely going to become THE Spitfire Mk IX in 1/72 scale Ben Edited January 24, 2015 by wellsprop
Sabre_days
Great news! Definitely my most-anticipated kit(s) of 2015... Most likely going to hang on to my stash of AZ kits to soak up extra decal options for post-WWII export customers, etc. and save the old wallet from some of the shock these kits could represent. My favorite marks of my favorite plane of all time. Same here...well, tied with the P-51D in my case...probably a very good thing for my budget that we're not likely to see one of those from Eduard in 1:72 for at least another two or three years. JBr
Mr. Å ulc said he hopes for September release of the Spit IX. It will first be released in 1/72 version of the "Boys are back" limited edition.

Surely the first release wouldn't be a 'limited edition'.
Procopius
It's all markings for Czech Spitfire pilots, I think, as with their 1/48 set of the same name.
DominikS
I only hope that it's not gonna be very limited edition as the 48th scale edition. The original idea was completely without sense as the shipping cost is horrible. I wish Eduard released it normally, to the shops. I think Royal Class would be better for the beginning. But now only we can do is to wait and see. Dominik....waiting impatiently for new Eduard's Spitfires.
