Rusty old tiger , 1/35 tamiya king tiger

Recommended Posts

This was something I'd wanted to do for a while and at first it was going to be a knocked out KT but that changed once I started painting and had gone a bit over the top with the rust so decided to do what I wanted to do and made it a complete wreck that's been sitting in a forest for 70 years

Oh and yeah I realise I've left the front MG on :)

That's amazing rust weathering very effective and the foliage is very convincing with the cobwebs!

Great stuff! There used to be a Panther and T-34 on the petrol bomb range at Vogelsang Camp in Germany which looked very much the same apart from being rather blackened too! I notice that you refrained from putting a few battle damage shell `dents' and a coup de gras hole in the model......I don`t think that I could help myself!

Cheers

Great stuff, and spot on to avoid battle damage, I think there was more chance of this KT having run out of fuel and being left, than being knocked out in action.

I saw a film clip on youtube recently of a Hetzer being brought out of a pond, intact, a KT might be a bit more of a challenge to hide !

Cheers Pat
