Chip lacquer paint

Hi there!

I'm currently considering what my new paint stash will consist of and right now Gunze mr color is the choice.

However, I just came to think of one of the weathering stages I like to do, and that's paint chipping.

I use chipping fluid under a layer of acrylic paint and then go at it with water, but I suppose this won't work with lacquer paint? Anyone got any ideas?

Hi Erik, like you I use Gunze, when I want to apply any chipping I find thinning it with IPA works better than when thinned with Mr Colour/Levelling thinners which are both lacquer type thinners. The same applies with Tamiya.
