Oh the x wings are different but I like them… the millennium falcon has a rectangular disc on top…

Suppose he needs to JJFalcon it a bit. :fight:

Do like the new light sabre though!

Not bad at all, you would have to expect that by this episode, the falcon and x-wings would likely have been modified somewhat from how we've seen them in the past, and the dish got knocked off the falcon in ROTJ anyway so it would have got replaced.

I like the look of it, similar sounds from the prequel trilogy mixed with the original in terms of speeders and droids etc mixed with the classic falcon and x-wing sounds, not sure about the 'flame' effect lightsaber but if it's a unique saber for a sith, well we've seen a few of those already, as long as all lightsabers haven't been completely changed it'll be good.

Looking forward to this film, just hope people give it a chance instead of moaning that it's nothing like the originals, well it's not going to be it'll be new and exciting!

I'm not going to watch any trailers of this I just want to see the whole movie without any spoilers :)

I think though this is going to be a big disappointment , I like the fact that JJ Abrahams has gone back to building sets and not that awfull looking cgi but cgi will still be there in the ship battles and it looks far better with actual models

I'm keeping an open mind as I have been impressed with JJ's story telling :)

Am I the only one who thought 'Is that IT???'

Take away all the green screen intro, Lucasfilm, a black screen for an eternity, and then 'Coming 2015' for an age at the end, and there was about 20 seconds of images that did nothing to 'tease' me.

Big let down.

Roy.

Hope they haven't shown all the good bits in the trailer!! . I was not over impressed with the last trilogy. Got the distinct feeling that Lucas was fed up and just wanted to get them over & done with. The appalling, sometimes cringe worthy ,dialogue did not help. The portrayal of Anakin Skywalker's tragic descent from good to evil was completely spoiled by Hayden Christensen's dismally wooden performance which came across as no more than that of a whiny, petulant teenage brat..

I will therefore refrain from being excited about this. I certainly hope the script writing and acting are better. I think JJ Abrams certainly breathed new life into the Star Trek scene!. I hope he will achieve the same with the new Star Wars films

Personally, I'm quite excited about it precisely BECAUSE the creative team have nothing to do with the people who put together the last trilogy... Giving JJ Abrams Star Wars to direct is like giving Bond to Sam Mendes: inside, they're both still the kids who loved those movies. And sorry, folks but yes, I did like the droid on the football, the X-Wings over the lake and the bravura follow-cam on the Falcon. (And who cares what state she's in? She could be anywhere between getting steadily more battered over the intervening years, or, as one of the icons of the successful rebellion, being preserved and restored to look more pristine than she ever did in the day, cf. HMS Victory or any flying BoB Spitfire...)

bestest,

M.

Yes, for all we know, the Falcon may have spent much of the interceding 35 years sat in a museum, or carefully looked after as the transport of a high ranking Republic official (which Princess Leia may have become). Or perhaps it was not the Falcon at all...

See, this is what a teaser does.

Seen the teaser, look forward to the film, not looking to pull it to pieces, just hope to sit back, popcorn in one hand, lighsaber oops drink in other and enjoy, after all star wars is not like Star Trek it is supposed to be fantasy. IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY etc. Everybody is different, thank god, what floats my boat, may not someone elses.

IN a nut shell as Yoda says there is DO or Do Not as far as liking it.

May the force/farce be with you, you choose.

All the best Chris

Don't screw it up JJ. No re-imaginings, no reboots, no time machines changing the cannon, just continue the story. Give the people what they want; bad guys, light sabre fights, casual dismemberment and x wing battles.
