Geoff King
My 1941 DeHavilland 82C Tiger Moth is finally nearing completion! Or at least it's seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Before you say it, yes I know the colors are off. That is the way it was painted when I got the project, so I have chosen to have it finished in a late 30's scheme of yellow/dark green/dark earth. I also know its an 82C and should be yellow/black but I have always loved the camo scheme, so I am using a little artistic license! Just a couple of pics for now, hamming it up for the camera and showing it after transport to my friend who is going to finish it for me. I've had this going for around 15 years and I finally got a chance to work with a friend and get it finished and flying. Hopefully, fingers crossed, she'll be in the air next summer. I'll keep you posted! Cheers, Geoff

Geoff King
Some progress has been made on the Moth! Engine has been cleaned, inspected and found satisfactory, wings are all covered and awaiting paint, and finally the engine has been mounted to the airframe. Things are coming together!! Truro Model Builder
Very nice. Tell me, are you sure that's the correct interior green for the firewall? Oh, my hat and coat! How kind of you.
Geoff King
T7, I believe it's probably closer to zinc chromate green but I could be wrong. Not really concerned with the accuracy as that area will not be seen unless cowling is raised for service! I'm more looking forward to exterior colors and scheme! I'm really more determined to get her back in the air after 30+ years of being a hangar queen than worrying about complete accuracy!
