Firing up the crystal ball...Wingnut Wings 2015 releases

I know I repeat myself - but maybe it helps...

Space 1999 Eagle 22" (they could do extra conversion sets for boosters and different pods too)

A retooled 1:72 Concorde without stupid gimmicks of a 60s era kit.

Morris Minor family in 1:32

Tiger Moth in 1:48 (something not unlikely - so I can praise myself when they release it)

Supermarine Scimitar in 1:48 (see Tiger Moth - plus I can use the Aftermarket cockit and wheel well sets that will then be released on my Falcon kit)

Soviet N-1 moon rocket to give the Saturn V some company (the real dark horse in my list)

A retooled Space Shuttle with nice surface structure

Their ground equipment sets in 1:48

Victor in 1:72

HP Hampden in 1:48

And finally the Spitfire Mk XIV low and high back in 1:48 (OK and 1:72 too)

Having a blonde moment, there, Caerabannog?

Just for entertainment, I thought I'd take a guess at WnW releases for 2015.

2014 was The Year of German Two-Seaters. I'm betting 2015 will be The Year of Allied Two-Seaters. Meaning:

1. Be2c. Fits in perfectly with the Great War Centennial.

2. Armstrong-Whitworth FK8. Perfect WnW subject, it's a major type and nobody hears about it.

...

Thoughts?

I'd certainly like to see these two, particularly the FK8

Please can we have a 1/32 Halberstadt CLII, a Junkers J1/J2, and a Felixstowe?

Well we seem to have the Felixstowe on the way. It will be expensive and huge, but given its importance and the fact that I have relatives who live in Felixstowe, I'm sorely tempted.

And if that doesn't blow the modelling and everything else budget, I did wonder if they'd stay on the salty sea-dog side of things - a Short 184 would be great, and if I've done the artihmetic correctly would have a span of a mere (compared to the Felixstowe) 23". A Sopwith Baby would be good as well. Or (and I've said this before) an Avro 504 would be good - K & N to start with, but there's scope for a few variants there.

I'm not calling these predictions, just what I'd like to see.

Have you seen the size of the box for the Felixstowe? It's about double the size of the Gotha box.

Phil

Looks like it may cost rather more than the Gotha!

H-h-how much????? !!

Seriously, I'd expected something of that order. I'm very tempted to indulge, but that would really blow the modelling (and everything else) budget for the foreseeable; and then, one can buy three of their fighters, plus some relevant aftermarket, for that. Serious thinking coming up ...

Yep, they've also been on the WNW website for some time as well. The AEG is due for release in Jan/Feb 2015. Not sure what's holding up the other two - you'd think that all that's needed is an extra sprue for the new parts, plus revised decals and instructions, yet by my reckoning they've been 'Coming Soon' for at least a year now...

I'd love it if they did some Austro Hungarian aircraft. Any of the following would be lovely in 1/32 scale:

Phönix D.II/D.III

Aviatik Berg D.I

OEFFAG Albatros D.III Series 253

MAG Fokker D.VII

Knoller C.II

The Hansa-Brandenburg C.I (early and late versions)

UFAG C.I
Lloyd C.V

Also cool would be:

Hanriot HD.1 (Belgian and Italian markings)
Hanriot HD.2 float plane

SPAD 11 two seater

Vickers Vimy
