Tamiya 1/35 Universal Carrier MkII

Recommended Posts

The painting of this model was done using an airbrush and a Vellejo green for the base coat. Then a acrylc gloss clear coat was put on. On to pof this the decals and weathering was done. The mud was made using an artists pastel crayon (crushed to a powder and mixed white spirits) which was dabed on and when dry wiped with a cotton bud. Then a matt clear coat was sprayed over the model.

This is the first time I have tried to weather a model so all comments/advice would be most welcome.

Looks good to me- i have just started weathering my AFV's too. When doing tracks i try to make where the wheels are in contact a bit shinier as these areas would be polished by wear. I am 3/4 way through building this kit myself and am liking some of the weathering ideas from your build.

Just about to start on this kit. Have not built anything like this before so your photographs will be a help in guiding me in the right direction. Will probably try weathering and display as well.
