Hi friends here are some pictures of my Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger II Ausf. B in 1/72 scale. This kit was done early this year.

The photos were taken last weekend, i hope you like it.

It was done before i started to use PE parts, may this one will have some upgrades at some time, like the Challenger, the Revell Tiger is a pleasure to build.

Thank you very much, Gents, i really appreciate all the comments, likes and views.

In the weeks before i opened my internet shop for plastic modelling, this summer, someone said to me " why did you do this, modelling is dead!"

Forums like Britmodeller are the living proof that its NOT and this on a daily basis !

Cheers

Bernd

......and here is a preview for the next roll out on Britmodeller, its a Dragon Jagdtiger with Porsche gear, primed in a dark yellow paint. This one will be finished before i continue on my Focke Wulf production linetigjagdtiger2_zps9c73a81d.jpgtigjagdriger1_zps6d5eface.jpg

Thanks again, guys :-)

If i would upgrade the King Tiger, i would add the nets over the engine louvers, The green and brown camo is on the Jagdtiger, while my brush painting didn t work today, so i used the airbrush.

More on this one in a later topic, there will be more 1/72 AVFs coming, i am currently thinking about to do some Airfix and Matchbox kits in 1/76 as well.

It seems quite hard to find a Italeri/Esci Mathilda in 1/72 these days

Cheers Bernd

I agree about the large intake louvres, they are the weak spot in both the Revell and the Dragon kits.....The latter is particularly strange because Dragon include an etch fret in the kit, yet they decided not to include the prominent louvres on it.

Thanks again, guys. Dragon kits are nice but expensive, its o.K when they include pe parts, their Panter Ausf.D came without pe and even without spare tracks. It was hard to like that kit.

The "sack" on the tracks came out quite nice, so i left the fenders in the box, the paint work was based on a profile, i found in a very nice french book about WWII tanks.

Cheers

Dragon's more recent releases are more like quick-build kits.....Headlights moulded as blobs on the hull!

Thats really sad news, the price of Dragon 1/72 kit is sky high :-(.Beside that i am looking forward to my Shermans.

Thank you very much, Steve. The dark yellow was sprayed on the rest were done with a brush. Lots of modelling fun for cheap, love these small scale tanks.

Cool Koingstiger mate. That really looks the part with the camo and weathering - well done :goodjob:

Thank you Gregor, its one of my better brush "attacks" . The "ambush" camo looks very attractive on these vehicles.

Its a very nice kit, a very relaxing build :-)
