The whole hog! Hobbyboss 1/72 A10.

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, been quietly doing the Hobbyboss A10 "easy" kit for a couple of weeks while waiting for parts to dry on other projects.

I am not really a "modern" aircraft builder and the last A10 I built was Matchbox,s kit when it was brand new.I have no idea how

accurate this kit is but fit of parts was superb(only eight parts make the complete airframe) and the panel lines were some of

the best I have come across from any maker.many thanks for looking.SDC12350800x533_zpsde1126b2.jpgSDC12345800x533_zps754bf4be.jpgSDC12344800x5332_zpsbf49f581.jpgSDC12343800x533_zpsdfafef46.jpgSDC12340800x533_zps7141a74d.jpg

Nice work there without a doubt.

Those HobbyBoss 'Easy' kits are great value for money and an excellent way to try out new techniques or make drastic conversions without worrying about wasting money. Just wish they would expand into post war UK subjects. Imagine...a 1/72nd Easy Build Hunter FGA9 for a few pounds.......

That's excellent Steve - well done! You really are turning to the dark-side of modern aircraft - civilian first and now this!

Thanks Stix, that,s not the worst of it I just started Revell,s 1/144 USS Fletcher today which is going to be a real epic.Still waiting to Start my two 1/48

spitfire 9,s which were going to be my Autumn project.

I've always avoided A10's, because they have so much going on externally, it would be easy to get bogged down in a build. This might be just the ticket to a quick A10 on the shelf.

And no stores included in the kit another aid to a quick build!

Nice job! This is the way they used to look when they were flying from a nearby base in their later years-- mean and clean. Impressive the way they would seem to just drift down to the ground , almost hovering.
