worm
Who's been selling the Iranian's Mirage F.1's?
magwitch
Who's been selling the Iranian's Mirage F.1's? Nobody. Iran expended 40,000+ man hours to make two flyable F1s from the 24 Iraqi ones that ended up there in the 'good' Iraq war.
wellsprop
Gotta admit, the RAF look at bit naff fielding Tonka's as front combat aircraft when everyone else has the latest F-16 of Rafale. The Voyager makes up for it though! Ben

The Voyager makes up for it though! Ben Steady now, won't be having no Tonka slagging here! )) Ask yourself why the Tonka was put out there and not the Typhoon? As much as I love the Tiffie, it's a noisy flashy new motor, the Tonka, just your old reliable Landie, it'll take anything you want, wherever you want, come back and do it all over again. Eng Hasn't the Typhoon been recently certified for the Paveways? What about the Brimstones, are they approved yet? I just guess it's a matter of certification and crew training, the next big conflict, they will start using the Tiffy for bombing too. After all, it's a good showcase for the industry. geedubelyer
What a great link Shaun, thanks for sharing it. Some superb close-ups for reference on all sorts of types. The Fin looks very purposeful fully laden, war weary and grimy. That would make for a smashing modelling subject. Cheers.
