Caution Wake Turbulence
Hello, just seen this used online. Seemed quite neat. Does anyone use these, find them useful etc etc? Which one do you use, where do you get it? Cheers, Andrew

andygif290368
Hmm, wait'd over 6 months for this to come back into stock with various Japanese model sellers. So i tracked down what it is and found similar stuff on ebay. LOCA glue for mobile phone screen repair, or for a very hard bond search for HUVCA. you'll still need a uv light/torch to cure the glues quickly. Jinxman
I've been using Bondic for a couple of years now - I get mine from Bauhaus in Germany, not sure if there are any UK suppliers. For fine repair work on wingtips and for things like landing light lenses it is superb - you can sand and polish it within an inch of its life - its keeps its strength and doesn't detach from the base plastic like some other stuff. Bondic dries clear as well. Links are here; http://notaglue.com http://www.bondic.de/index.php?id=
viscount806x
Tried the Tamiya 'Light Curing Putty' but didn't get on with it - took far too long to go off and then stayed a bit 'waxy' on the surface.
Caution Wake Turbulence
The Bondic stuff sounds good, although looking on eBay/Amazon it's a tad pricey (£££££ ). How much do you normally pay for it? Cheers, Andrew

Cheers, Andrew hi Andrew, Last time I paid for some it was about €7 for the resin - I already had the uv light. (Bauhaus want €7.95 for the resin now). A friend in Germany got it for me so there was no postage. The starter set is an ok way of doing it, however I only use the resin and light. I use rubbing alcohol to clean a part before application which I already have the shelf. As an example of its usefulness I was trying for ages to get a sharp, correctly shaped edge to my 1/72 Heller Draken wingtips, and everything I tried broke off again. With the Bondic the problem has been solved, (though the Draken remains firmly on the shelf of doom). The beauty of it is within five seconds of applying the light its cured and ready to work on. On the other side of the coin the 5 minute two part epoxy from Poundland dries clear and works very nicely as well... cheers
