madaboutmodels Posted October 24, 2014 Share Posted October 24, 2014 Evening All, On Saturday an Antontov AN-124 landed at stansted on a cargo charter, it picked up a Nigerian Air Force Merlin, for some reason this was a 12 hour turn around... Decided to go for an in the air picture of it landing, seeing as i havent done this at stansted before... stevehnz Posted October 25, 2014 Share Posted October 25, 2014 Nice one Bradley, the first (&last) time I saw one of these in the air was at the Aus Bicentennial Airshow at Richmond, west of Sydney in 1988. That would be the scheme I saw, I think it was an Aeroflot scheme. Have a squizzey at this , impressive doesn't even begin to cover it. Steve. A couple years ago I have seen a Volga-Dnepr carrier in Kaliningrad Afld Wich took aboarg a submarine for Baikal research. That was awesome!
