Scopedog3
This model I have in mind to put into a re-fueling dio with an A-20G Havoc, here's a couple pics to get it all started. Mark
Scopedog3
The main chassis is now complete, such wonderful detail in this model. I will deviate somewhat from the kit instructions, I prefer to build the cab first, then the interior will be inserted after, thus allowing for the best fit of the hood sidewalls. is it windy yet?
Great start. I have this kit too.
Scopedog3
The build is nearly finished then on to painting and weathering. The fit overall is excellent, just a minor problem with the port side door, but nothing major. The compartment housing the hoses needed some filling also. Thanks for looking. Silver Fox
Looking good so far, I also found problems with the hose compartment.
Scopedog3
The main body components are painted decaled and varnished and about to be weathered. I broke the armature that held the hoses in place and decided to just close the compartment doors. The main headlights and lenses still need to be added as well. The whitish pigment is Vallejo Sandy Paste to simulate dried and caked mud on the undersides. The windshield will be added after weathering, and I left out the side windows entirely to simulate the being rolled down.
