bobthefrog
I have a pot of Humbrol 33 acrylic matt black. however when painted on it appears to have areas that don't look very black, maybe a very dark brown. if anyone has any ideas as to what causes this then please reply. thanks! colin
Did you stir/shake the bottle well before you applied the paint, the only thing I can think that would cause it. Did you spray or apply it by brush
steelpillow
Have you thinned it at all? Also, after stirring and shaking really thoroughly as above, try a second coat.
Rick Brown
Just wondering, has the paint been stored somewhere very hot or very cold? Rick.
bobthefrog
Thanks everyone. Brush painted, stirred and shaken a lot Thinned 33% with water. Screw it, will give up on humbrol acrylics probalbly, for some reason no-one in norwich seems to stock them
steelpillow
If you thinned it, a second coat could make a difference.
bentwaters81tfw
I stick with Humbrol 33 enamels. Never had a problem yet, and our friends in Lowestoft stock it.
