Shaun
Have any of the USAFE Aviano F-16 been painted in the Have Glass paint finish?, can find any photos? but some the Spangdahlem aircraft in europe have been repainted. Shaun.
Flyingdutchman
As far as I can de ecall only Spangdahlem, Eglin and Shaw vipers were have glass. Not all F-16's based with those units where have glass, only several airframes. Cheers Evert

Flyingdutchman
Both Aviano and Spang have some interesting subjects to build with nice tailart'. But have glass is not often seen at the forums so my vote would be Spangdahlem. Evert
Shaun
I've all ready done a Spang jet in the traditional colours in 1/32nd, so may try a Have glass one next? Shaun.
Cookenbacher
Hi Shaun - I've found it difficult to find info on these schemes as well. From what I've found, besides test aircraft, I'm pretty sure only Block 50/52 F-16's have been painted in Have Glass since they have the SEAD mission. There are now two Have Glass schemes: the one found on the Spang jets, and a newer all dark grey one similar to the F-35 scheme. The only unit I've been able to find pics of in both Have Glass schemes is the 148th FW of the Minnesota ANG. http://www.148fw.ang.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/2013/11/120810-Z-LR879-009.JPG http://www.midwaysailor.com/photos/falcon-mnang3.html A good discussion of the newer scheme can be found here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=271825&st=20 Shameless plug - I'm attempting the newer Have Glass scheme in 1/72 here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234966761-a-ridiculous-and-probably-ill-fated-viper-pentuple/page-2 Hope this helps some. Does anyone have spare "Warhawks" markings from the new Authentic decals sheet? http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/AD4865 Shaun.

Cookenbacher
Interesting to see they don't paint the tails?, the Spang birds have the finish all over. I think the 148th FW got their Blk 50's from Spang, so they arrived all over Have Glass. From that pic, it looks like they just painted over the 'SP' on the tails in the 'conventional' scheme in order to have the proper unit markings. Almost all of the jets in the 148th ended up in regular F-16 paint except for a few in the new Have Glass scheme.

Yes Shaun, now all the birds have two tone paint, only the first birds in 1994 when they arrive in Aviano have three tone paint (when the tails was multicolor!!!!!) after whit starting the bosnia war the airplaned change the scheme three shadow grays in two grays and now also the flag ship are in low viz.
