azureglo
I just got this link for AK's allegedly better than the best metalliser thing ever: http://www.ak-interactive.com/ak/NEWSOCT2014/TRUEMETAL.pdf It looks way useful, anyone got their steely mitts on yet? JasonC
Looks similar to Rub'n'Buff; which has been around for a while. It had it's uses, but I'd say it was nowhere near Alclad for a decent metallic finish. Just a general hassle to apply to large surfaces, and not massively durable as a finish. regards, J.
azureglo
At the risk of talking to myself, maybe not so revolutionary after all: www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dkitchen&field-keywords=Rub'N%20Buff Hmm, a metalliser in a carnauba wax base, plus ca change. Anyone here used this stuff, apparently our Transatlantic cousins have been using it for "decades"
Duncan B
I've never used it but it looks interesting. Might be better for smaller areas rather than an allover NMF though. Duncan B
Tim T
Could be useful for individual panels. Would be a major PITA on something like a 1/48 Lightning if you used it for the whole aircraft.
