pinky coffeeboat
If they made the decals based on the old Matchbox kit decal art, then an older version of Aurigny could be in there. Mmmh, Aurigny didn't really float my boat as a preferred colour scheme.

upnorth
Mmmh, Aurigny didn't really float my boat as a preferred colour scheme. I quite agree; If I had any sway over matters, front runners for additional decal options would be like this: Trans Maldivian (The temptation to do a diorama with that perfect blue water is immense!) net photo Maldivian Seaplane (A very new user of the Twotter, they got their first one in July 2014) net photo Air Moorea has a variety of schemes including this tasteful one net photo
pinky coffeeboat
All very nice, especially the Air Moorea plane. I was thinking the exact same thing about a diorama with some lovely blue sea and a floating Twotter. Jeff
The Cameraman
Morning Guys n Gals, always had a soft spot for Twotters, they an't a Beaver but they're the next best thing! Regards Reggie
Caution Wake Turbulence
Postie just delivered mine. Looks alright, a little flashy, but nothing serious. Glad to see it comes with floats (and skis). Now to find some decals... Andrew
Ham
Are the markings new in this boxing? The box art appears to have same markings as in the old Matchbox release.

Caution Wake Turbulence
Sorry chaps, been a bit busy. The Schemes are indeed: No 440 Sqn Canadian Armed Forces, Namao, Canada, May 1983 West Coast Air, Victoria Harbour, Canada, October 2006 (C-GJAW) Andrew
pinky coffeeboat
Ah, thank you both. So aftermarket it is then ... Jeff
Caution Wake Turbulence
This is the West Coast Air scheme, I think. Andrew
pinky coffeeboat
Well, that's not a bad scheme. Hopefully more colourful liveries will be released in due course. Jeff
Admiral Puff
This is the West Coast Air scheme, I think. Andrew That's the one! Mine have just arrived, and I can confirm that Revell has simply repopped the Matcbox kit. The props are still set in fine pitch (default setting with engines off was fully feathered), the side pillars for the windscreen are still too thick and the undercarriage is still too frail to support a fully ballasted model. Still, it's the only game in town ...
garryrussell
Has it still got one tailplane much thicker than the other?
Admiral Puff
Has it still got one tailplane much thicker than the other? Yes, but according to my calipers the difference is only 0.3 of a millimetre.
Graham Boak
Oh, I do like that! When it comes to accuracy in a model, 1 or 2 mm is "negligible", but here 0.3 mm is "much". Which highlights that it is all a matter of proportion and context.
Paul J
I got mine this morning. Its one of those kits that fill up a corner of the box it comes in. Nice decals indeed though. But, Revell have missed a trick in not including the BC coat of Arms and title to the same subject. See pics in this link: http://www.twinotterarchive.com/DHC-6_176.html#CGJAW_102002 It would have added just that little bit more to the decal set. Although I expect there was a good reason. By the way, if you scroll to top of the link when opened, you'll find C-GJAW full history and where its at now. And notice it started life with a long nose and ended up with a short nose!
waltmertins
Any of you guys have detail 3 view drawings of the Twotter? I have a 1/48 scale Twotter with short nose that I will like to convert to radar nose. All I have is the great 3 view diagram in the back of the old Matchbox kit. Thanks in advance
JOHN ELLIS
I have the Aviation News drawings for the Twin Otter. I will dig them out and scan them for me. PM your email to me and I will send them to you. John
Ham
I have one of the "olde" Matchbox versions in work now. The props are awful on this kit. They are warped and look something like a caveman's club. Are there any currently available aftermarket props that might work? With the engines powered off it looks like the blades are in the full feathered position.
Whisperjet
Ordered the kit a while ago and the shop promised to restock. Now they told me the kit was currently unavailable from Revell which seems quite strange considering it was only released in September... Graham Boak
My local shop (Transport Models, Preston) had sold out when I asked in late October, but had restocked in early November. It might be worth giving them an e-mail? Or of course Hannants, who still have 10+?
