periklis_sale
Guys good afternoon, i am looking for the colors of the top cammouflage (Toulouse-Blangac) http://www.modelplac.cz/images/rec/he177mpmrec/mpm_48058_camo_02.jpg http://www.modelplac.cz/images/rec/he177mpmrec/mpm_48058_camo_01.jpg in Tamiya or Gunze or Humbrol? I ve seen a few topics regardign the new Humbrol acrylic paints but are they good? i can see that the top is RLM70/71 and the underside RLM65 correct? What colors are the mottle on the side? RLM02 and ROM70? thank you periklis
reheat
Look on this website there's a pic of the actual aircraft. Ignore the colour profile below the photo it looks nothing like real thing. To me it looks like the mottling on the side and tail could be RLM 70/71 and lightens aft of the wing to either a very light spraying of RLM 70/71 or RLM 02. http://ww2bombers.e-monsite.com/pages/heinkel-he-177.html

Steve190
Reheat, What a nice website. Nice detailed histories on several aircraft besides the He-177. The D.520 history is 132 pages long and the best I have seen on the web. Thanks for posting the link. Steve
periklis_sale
Guys apologies for bringing this question once again i am confused and color blind as well i want to paint a Heinkel He177 in RLM70/71 top and RLM 65 bottom as the top profile http://kits.kitreview.com/images/mpm48058reviewbg_12.jpg i saw that HUMBROL brough tout a range of RLM colors (240,241 etc) but i dont know what well they work when you try to do the thin lines.... thus i prefer GUNZE paints I found that RLM70/71 come as H65/64 are these colors good enough? Thank you
periklis_sale
any suggestion guys? i would like to buy these paints tomorrow
JasonC
Well H64 & H65 are usually quoted as the best matches for RLM70/71 in the Gunze range, so if you want to use these paints then they would be the colours to get. I don't think anyone is going to say that they're totally unsuitable. See for example the IPMS Stockholm colour reference pages: http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_germany.htm regards,Jason

JasonC
Those colours have been used on this build here by Chris Wauchop, and they look ok. http://hsfeatures.com/features04/ju87g172cw_1.htm
