Burmese spitfires found!

They are a bit inaccurate. No screwheads visible, and the brace struts are in the wrong place. I'm pretty sure that's the wrong grain of wood as well for a Spitfire packing case.

I believe screwheads on late war packing cases were puttied over but don't recall when the order went into effect.

Sigh. What you can do with an idle mind, toothpaste box and Costa coffee stirrers.

Imagine what I could do with chewing gum as well!

Rick.

Coffee stirrers eh!

Sure it wasn't too much coffee as well?

Selwyn

(Stirring it without a stick, and of course ducking under the parapet yet again!)

Rick, you might remember the American TV show of the '90's called "MacGyver" (and it was nae aboot a Scotsman!). Let's see, with an empty toothpaste box, coffee stirrers, and some chewing gum I believe he could have made a working nuclear bomb.

Regards,

Jason

Well, this was mainly an "In the box" build, but I did add seat belts from Tamiya tape.

I never bother too much with the cockpit in this scale, as you can't really see much in there anyway.

Panel lines are a little deep, but that's how modern kits are these days. I guess I could have filled them a little.

Granted, the weathering is a bit too subtle, maybe a wash of earth needed?

I had to make the decals as Xtradecals haven't been done for this type yet (?). I had to take a guess at the

stencils, anyone know a good source for MOD stencils?

Thanks for looking,

Rick.
