Creepy Pete
Hello, After doing a bunch of 1/48 jets, I felt like doing something from WW 2 for a change, so I picked this Ju 88A-4 kit from Revell. A very enjoyable build. Nice detail in the cockpit, and excellent fit. I used kit decals for a Ju 88 based in Greece in 1942, with swastikas coming from an Aeromaster sheet. I know they had some antenna wires running from the cockpit to the tail and fuselage sides, but in 1/72 I don't care so much about those. Thanks for looking, and I hope you like it.

IrritableRabbit
Apart from generally thinking that looks jolly smashing, and an all round job well done, I can only echo Spruecutter's comments about the canopy! Very tidy indeed.

popeye
. Great build and finish ! If I may propose: you might want to change the rims to toned down black (maybe RLM 66) for correct appearance... Rolf
jean
The Luftwaffe desert camo is really a stunner at the best of times. Your 88 is a good looker too! Well done. I will second the wheel rims' colour, as mentioned by Rolf. The rest is top notch! JR
Creepy Pete
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. About those rims, I just followed the instructions this time and didn't look too much at pics of the real thing. I shall fix it. Were they painted black, or did they just get real dirty from brakedust and dirt?
MikeW
Well, isn't she just a gorgeous piece of work - nicely done. Cheers. Mike

Stew Dapple
Black painted rims were general practice. In the interests of avoiding confusion Popeye and Jean are referring to the wheel hubs being painted black like this Cheers, Stew

Creepy Pete
Alright, wheels have been painted black now. Dunno why Revell said it should be aluminium. Thanks for the tip.
