It does seem possible, even likely, that a testbed installation of one underneath the bombbay would have appeared, but not installing four in the Olympus trunks. HP42 Posted September 25, 2014 Share Posted September 25, 2014 I managed to get to Scampton in the end and saw her along with a small crowd. Absolutely fantastic! The 'Vulcan howl' on approach was the best I've heard and she put on a great display with a few turns and a climb out. I took my Dad who'd never seen the Vulcan as it was 'now or never' really. He was mightily impressed and well worth the hour's drive each way. I did toy with the idea of seeing her on the return leg at Waddington but time for me was an issue. A magical afternoon outing.
