cmatthewbacon
I'm sure most of us know "Wrecks and Relics": http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wrecks-Relics-Indispensable-Britains-Aviation/dp/0859791777/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1410469023&sr=1-1&keywords=wrecks+and+relics "The Indispensable guide to Britain's Aviation Heritage" I always have the latest edition, and it's a work of genius... What I'm wondering is two things: 1) Are there any similar guides for say, the US, or Australia? 2) Are there any similar guides for other types of Heritage vehicles? Specifically, is there a guide to the motor museums and collections of the UK? Or AFV collections? bestest, M.
BritJet
There was a French Military W&R done in the 70s and there have been three European W&Rs but I don't know of any that answer your questions Steve

Ed Russell
1) Are there any similar guides for say, the US, or Australia? Not a book but this site covers Australian crash sites. http://www.pacificwrecks.com/aircraft/ Although Australia is an immense country, the populous areas are really high density. Thus the wrecks not known about are in the real outback and those known about have been picked clean or built over by suburbia. There is a book "Pacific Aircraft Wrecks" which is OOP. PM me for more info if required.
goggsy
There was a publication called High Ground Wrecks and Relics about aircraft that can still be found in British mountains. It's been out of print for a long time and to be honest it's probably no bad thing as it seems to have led to a lot of pilfering from wreck sites. Plus the grid references were wonky in many cases and downright dangerous in some.
