Wolwe82
Hello guys, after building few kits in the quickbuild style, i decided it is time to build something more serious again (i enjoyed the quick building though! ). And maybe it is time to go for 1/48 to see how i can deal with the bigger scale I did check my stash and after some selecton, there are two kits left and i cannt decide which one to build, so maybe you guys could help me ) The kits are both 1/48 then, P-51D Tamiya (Red Tails boxing) and Spitfire IX by Eduard. The idea is to make the kits as detailed as i can do, for the P-51D it would be the Red Tails camo option from box. For the Spitfire IX though, i got Kits-World decals for long range experiment spitfire IX (fuel tank in fuselage + two fuel tanks from P-51 under wings) with pin-up girl on cowling (ye, there we go, why i chosed this camo option.. ) So now i cnnt decide which one to do.. Maybe you can help me? Edited September 11, 2014 by Wolwe82
Val
Can't be done. Choosing between a Spitfire XI and a P-51D is like choosing between Jenifer Lawrence and Emma Stone. Both just too perfect and beautiful to make any distinction between. I'll be following the result though to see which one gets put together Val
Wolwe82
Haha Val, yea, it is almost impossible to decide.. I ll build both kits at some point, but which one first, thats hard..

Wolwe82
hah, thanks both guys ye, i m pretty sure about your answer Stix and i ll rather pass on two different types at the same time Winenut:) there are already enough other planes in my shelf of doom.. waiting for the end of year and KUTA GB...
Cookenbacher
Wolwe, no mater how slow and patient I build, I cannot match your fast build planes in finish or detail. I'm almost afraid to see what happens when you decide to take a build 'seriously'!
Wolwe82
Hah cooken you are overlooking a lot of errors i do on my kits still ) But thanks I liked your harrier in the GB here! My last "serious" build was mosquito for the LTAT GB and the Iowa Beaut P-51B for D-Day GB. I still need to work on the building phase, to make it more clean and smooth. So i hope the bigger scale will help me with this a bit
jean
A tough call, but if there is a P-51 in the lot, I would definitely go for that! JR
Wolwe82
Thanks guys, so far it looks like Spitfire is taking lead. So be it, i ll build the Spitfire IX as first, more detailed, but i ll most likely build the Mustang along as well.. I have one or two kits i need to finish now, so i ll begin with the Spitfire at weekend hopefuly. Originaly i did not want to add too many aftermarkets to it, but... Eduard is giving out some sales for E-Day (kind of kit show) and because its just two weeks ahead, i ordered some goodies for the Spitfire.. But i have all i need for the cockpit already so i can begin at weekend. So thanks for all who helped me to decide on what should i focus first
