theplasticsurgeon
So whilst we're waiting - here's my previous form for Lancasters: Firstly my 1990ish build from the Airfix BBMF set. Gifted to a colleague who's father flew rear turret during the war. Next the Airfix Grand Slam. Airfix Dambuster Airfix Lancaster POS - as a Hendon. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234933764-airfix-lancaster/ And finally a Revell/Paragon Manchester conversion. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234933765-manchester-revell-lanc-with-paragon-conversion/ Edited March 28, 2018 by theplasticsurgeon Photobucket correction,

Chris Jephcott
That is a beautiful set of lancasters. Need to try the new 1/72 ones myself, as they look incredible. And on that note, that's a great choice of kit too. Chris

theplasticsurgeon
Sadly - I'm having to put this build into a holding pattern. I've been given the responsibility of a very new Airfix product for Jet Age museum - with a VERY ambitious deadline. I should be back with you by mid-October. Learstang
The new Airfix Shackleton? Just kidding on that. However, I do have a serious question - where did you get the decals for the Grand Slam version? That's the very aeroplane I'd like to do, but I'm having problems finding the decals for it (I'm doing the Hasegawa kit - it's one of my growing collection of semi-built Lancasters). I do hope you get back on this as soon as possible so I can see how to build my B.II! Regards, Jason

Learstang
Oh b****r! I should have kept those decals when I sold the Airfix Grand Slam kit. Regards, Jason

theplasticsurgeon
A bit more work on engines, covers and undercarriage. Fitting the outer engine cowlings is a bit of a mare!
tonyot
Its definitely coming on, sorry to hear that the outer cowlings were a bit of a pain,......was the fit just poor? Cheers Tony
