Probably building the option with the under turret.

A build I've been looking forward to - will be belayed until I've finished my Mustang GB.

So whilst we're waiting - here's my previous form for Lancasters:

Firstly my 1990ish build from the Airfix BBMF set.

Gifted to a colleague who's father flew rear turret during the war.

Next the Airfix Grand Slam.

And finally a Revell/Paragon Manchester conversion.

Sadly - I'm having to put this build into a holding pattern.

I've been given the responsibility of a very new Airfix product for Jet Age museum - with a VERY ambitious deadline.

I should be back with you by mid-October.

1/24th scale Meteor F.8 test shots???

The new Airfix Shackleton? Just kidding on that. However, I do have a serious question - where did you get the decals for the Grand Slam version? That's the very aeroplane I'd like to do, but I'm having problems finding the decals for it (I'm doing the Hasegawa kit - it's one of my growing collection of semi-built Lancasters). I do hope you get back on this as soon as possible so I can see how to build my B.II!

Regards,

Jason

Those are the decals in the Airfix kit. No aftermarket in that baby.

Well, I'm not fully released from Jet Age - just on parole at the moment.
Enough for me to complete the fuselage like this.

And just found this photo of undecarriage bay detail.

Great progress so far,.....I`ll be interested to see how the Hercules engines fit onto the wings. I`ve always liked the Mk.II and have one myself so I`ll be following this with interest,

Cheers

Tony
