USS pb102, ex BP 102, ex USS stewart

Uss pb 102 in 1/400, mirage kit, and not a great fitting kit, soft detail etc,

built it as re captured, but the 102 decals broke up!!!

etch by WEM, really nice, i request here, i primed the etch, painted the grey, yet

you can still see brass!!!! any help would be great.

Hi Invidia, good job fitting the etch. Did you wash the brass parts before painting? Many modellers recommend giving them a gentle bath in some soapy water first before use; going by my own experience I reckon they probably have the right of it!

Nice model, always wash brass, plastic, resin etc., they are all covered with something which will affect your paint. I use an acid etch primer on my brass and it still chips when bent. Just get into the habit of keeping a touch up brush handy! :-) :-)
