USS HORNET (CV-8) - 1/200 by Merit Int., Tetra Model Works, Nautiuls, G-Factor.

Recommended Posts

Hello @ all.

here the final pictures of my USS HORNET (CV-8) in scale 1/200 by Merit International, plus PE-parts by Tetra Model Works, wooden deck by Nautilus (blue painted) and propellers by G-Factor.

More about the build you find on my website or here at the "works in progress".

Later I will add some figures, but as I know there are no US Navy figures in 1/200 available yet....

Hope you like it!

I really enjoyed this build and it's come out beautifully. Top stuff!

For figures, I'd keep an eye on NorthStar as they have some 1/200 Kriegsmarine figures in resin and they do US sailors in other scales - maybe they'll combine the two?

That is an excellent kit however I am hoping, and waiting, for an Essex class - especially a long-hull so that a Vietnam era version can be built or converted.

cheers
