Over on Z5 Raymond from Kinetic Models mentions

"For the TOMCAT, I believe it will be answered by your favor maker soon. So, check it out!"

I wonder if it could be from Tamiya as they seem to be everyone's favorite manufacturer.

Regards

IF it is a Tamiya new tool (why would Kinetic advertise a rival's product?) then I would be VERY interested to see what they do with it...

I think there will always be a strong market for Tomcats and if they can make it accurate, detailed, correct time wise for detailed changes etc etc they would certainly have a kit that would outsell the only two viable competitors kits on the market at the moment.

Reminder: Raymond Chung doesn't only manufacture kits (Kinetic) but he also sells other manufacturers kits (Lucky Model).

I didn't know that! You learn something new every day.

Rumor or hoax?

Scalemates is usually considered as a well-informed source.

Tamiya (should) is to release a new tool 1/48th Grumman F-14 Tomcat kit.

First boxing ref.61114

Release 2014.

Maybe more news at the Makuhari's "ALL JAPAN MODEL & HOBBY SHOW 2014" (26-27/09/2014).

To be followed.
