modelfreak
:boom:A brilliant model at first sight. As I started I realised I didn't have the main cockpit paint Humbrol 31 Slate Grey this was when I had to do a bit of research because usually I thought bf109 e-3 tubs were portrayed in light grey (again). The pieces supplied by airfix were good value, but and a big but the cockpit detail was rather crude, (now if you are thinking of building or thinking of building this model then check out Troy Smith's pics, they were a brilliant help for this modeller, thanks Troy ) after livening up the cockpit a bit with Troys tips I completely redid the seat-belts (which I have to add were awful) using aluminium foil for my replacements. Which were then painted with a mix of Humbrol 71 Satin oak and Humbrol 24 trainer Yellow. Next came the buckles which were much trickier but I eventually finished modelling my new ones from garden wire fashioned with pliers!
