shood23
Looking very good, ever since I completed a revell 956 earlier in the year I have been obsessed with wanting to do a lot more of the liveries that it was done in in the 80s Shaun

capri-schorsch
Hi guys, Sorry but i have to cancel this project. There are massive problems with the designer and the printing. So i must bring it to an end before it has began. Sorry! Regards Christian

capri-schorsch
Hey guys,i will restart this Porsche project now.Its not a 3D print, its a milling job now. Here is a pic from the 3d-model so far.Now its not a 962,its a 956 that i want to do.This is the start for a handmade car with less detail than before. But i will made this for sure.Thats for now.regards

capri-schorsch
Hi,some news to show here. The data was scaled down to 1/12.Than we created a CAD file for the milling machine.Than we removed every part that is not possible to mill.So they are the wiper, mirrors and the rear wing. The wing will be made in another step.We created a small groove where the wing can be put in.Dont know how to say in english? Some parts were closed and on the bottom we made some wheel adjustments for later. Here is the blank material for the milling machine.Thats the first step. When we converted the files to CNC ,everything can start.regardsChristian

capri-schorsch
Sorry,my programmer was two weeks in holiday. So we started today with some more programming. Nothing new to show. Sorry!
capri-schorsch
MFH did a update with their Porsche so also a update from my Porsche. The construction is done now. Some holes were closed and some parts are new designed. The windows are now constructed with a edge around to glue the sheet in.The stand for the rear wing are removed. They are so thin that cant be milled.Right now i dont know if i will cast it or only made a plastic template to glue it in?Will see. This is a pic from the whole model based into the ureol block for milling.Right now we figure out which tools we will use for the milling progress. It looks like we only find some time at the middle of November for the milling. We got lots of work and no capacity at the moment on our fine milling machine. So i got some more time to work on my Ferrari 512S .Not so bad. regardsChristian
capri-schorsch
Now its finally started today. Some pics from the milling process.Still a long way to go.The bigger steps are done. Now its up to very small programs with very tiny milling cutters.Up to 0,5mm diameter is the smallest we want use.Thats all for now.regards Christian

S5 modeller
You got the live 4th axis on that miller? Is it a standard production m/c, or a small prototype miller? I don't suppose you have a video of it in action, as I love watching machines producing stuff like this. You think I would get bored of seeing machines like this in action, as I work on them for a living, but I can't get enough!

Rob G
I often wonder if machines live for days like this, when they get to do something out of the ordinary.
