John Darlington
In progress shots of my Tamiya Lotus 78. A little extra detailing was done using braided metalling hose. Most of the internals are now done and the body panels primed and ready for paint. Just waiting for a local (Auckland, New Zealand) restock of Tamiya Gloss Black spray can lacquer paint which should be next week. Hope you like the pics.

macgregor
Great work on the braided pipe work, makes a huge difference. Like the coloured fuels lines too, nice touch. Look forward to seeing her progress. Mac

Flemming
Hi Sorry for nitpicking, but the seatbelts would not be Sabelt, but Willans. Sabelt belts are usually red. In the 70's I think most British team used blue Willans seat belts - Lotus included. I have included a photo that shows the belts. Yeah I know it is the 79, but they are the same. Trust me. Detailing look good Best regards Flemming
John Darlington
Hi Flemming, yeah I knew about the Willans seat belts but in my search for some aftermarket belts I could only find ones with Sabelt logo's so for want of anything better I decided to use "artistic licence". Vicarage Vee
That is a really lovely model. Seatbelt manufacturers and the like are something I've learnt to become very wary of, especially when looking at Historic Racers for references, although it can be a devil of a job finding a suitable period picture and of course it only turns up after you've finished (or closed up in the case of the Joest New Man 956...)
