bentwaters81tfw
It's in good order. I saw it a couple of weeks ago. The Jetstream could do with a new home too! I know Newark have one, but it's too good to sit under the trees for ever.
NAM Updater
Yes I understand it’s in a good condition (I’ve only seen photographs myself), but we’ve had favourable comments from both sets of NAM visitors to Suffolk – not sure about another Jetstream though! NAM Updater
Not intending to tease, merely stating facts - the main negotiations relate to the TSR2 event, which looks as though it could get rather special!!
bentwaters81tfw
TSR-2. Hmm. A certain organisation has a cockpit, another museum has some rear frames, there are at least 2 engines floating around, So....who has got the bits in the middle? NAM Updater
We're working to a comprehensive list and as the other thread about the event says - we're getting some excellent support; currently it's a case of i's to dot and t's to cross!!

NAM Updater
Earlier today the first in a series of co-ordinated airframe moves were completed at the museum, which is in preparation for the delivery of the Dominie and the TSR2 cockpit section (for the Tribute to the TSR2 event). This morning the T33 and Lightning T5 airframes were moved into new display locations on the Southfield Site, next to the Meteor NF14. In the coming days / weeks further aircraft moves will take place and this is likely to include airframes moving out of Hangar 2. This may also allow for a change in the number of stalls at the Autumn Indoor Aeroboot on Saturday 11th October. Some photos of the aircraft in their new positions can be found in here! bentwaters81tfw
One of your minders was very helpful on thursday and let me get up close and personal with the Varsity. Last time I saw an Ashton was in the air out of Martlesham Heath. Some good stuff you have there.
NAM Updater
Thank you for the kind comments, everyone normally aims to please if they can - interesting comment about the Ashton, when completed it should make an interesting exhibit. The time I was at Bentwaters was for the press day when the A10s arrived - one in each scheme to get close and personal with, happy days!!
NAM Updater
If the weather plays ball this week it is hoped that the engines will be fitted to the Dominie; this will be followed by the ‘panelling-up’ process to get the airframe ready to move inside Display Hangar 2.
