Moebius 1/8 Iron Man Mark III ***COMPLETE***

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Here is one of my next projects : Moebius Models Iron Man Mark III

I will be painting this kit with Tamiya Acrylic paints : Clear Red, Titanium Silver, Gold and Metallic Grey for the display stand

Anyway here are the photos of the sprues.

As you can see this kit has been primed already with Humbrol primer. I did this a few months ago when I was working on my Redbull RB8 kit.

Progress photos once I have done some work on the kit.

Cheers,

Rick

Hi Everyone,

Here are the photos of the completed kit construction. I have not yet started on the painting of this kit yet. I don't have the painting instructions for this kit as I threw the box away. Does anyone have them, if you do please PM me ?

Hi Everyone,

Here is the latest update on this project.

I am currently painting the main colours onto this figure.

I am using Tamiya acrylic paint : Gold for the accent points and Clear Red for the main body colour.

Here are the photos.

I will be getting on with the 2nd coat of clear red as soon as the rear of the suit is dry. Then its onto the gold accent pieces.

Comments welcome and thanks as always for looking.

Looks great Rick, that clear red came out lovely didn't it.

Cheers Doug,

Yeah it did come out nice, especially as the whole thing was hairy stick painted.

It took a couple of coats but the end result is worth it.

Hopefully be able to finish the Iron Patriot over the next couple of days.

Nice job Rick, well done. That red really pops.

Thanks John,

That was the kit after 2 coats of Tamiya Clear Red over Tamiya Chrome Silver.

I will eventually be working on my Iron Patriot kit again, when I am not knackered after work.

That does look great, Rick. I think its fascinating how many different ways there are of coming up with the "simple" red and gold colours! My only suggestion would be you might want to do something with the eyes bring the face "to life" a bit. On the "real thing" they glow like the arc reactor when the suit is "live". I suspect a bit of white paint or Tippex pen would do the trick...

Nice addition to your shelf!

bestest,

M.

Cheers matt & skipy,

When I'm up to doing some work on models, I will sort out putting some paint in the eyes.....

Damn eye problems are stopping me from doing much of anything except reading and relaxing.....

Sorry to hear that, no fun when health stops play! He looks great as he is anyway.
