Jeff Leiby
What area do you consider unpainted? The underside of the hull is factory painted but does suffer heavy wear. Because of the constant wear, particularly in muddy terrain the rust is minimal as it is sanded off. Jeff
Sgt.Squarehead
Something like this:
Jeff Leiby
The added armor plates under the drivers position appear to be "after market" added in Afghanistan and to be painted with red primer only and has started to rust. As is visible in your picture the bottom of the hull was originally painted a the factory with color worn off at the rear under the engine compartment. I would recommend a dark metallic color if you want exposed unpainted surface....pre-rust. Look at the blade of a used bulldozer for the dark bare metal, not the fresh shiny metal from recent use. Hope this helps. Jeff
