85sqn
Hi Folks, here's my latest build of a Fleet Air Arm Hellcat from 1839 NAS, in the Pacific 1945. I picked this kit up at Flying Legends recently and was eager to crack on for a fairly quick build. The decals are from Aeromaster as the kit ones were yellowed but I had trouble with silvering around the '145' parts. Fortunately the chaps down in the decals section recommended Daco, so I bought the medium and strong strengths and that seemed to sort it out. Painted with Xtracrylix and Tamiya. It has a coat of aluminium followed by some sponge masking with Maskol for the chipped effect. I have also included some WIP photos. As always apologies for the photo qualities, they're from my phone. Edited July 31, 2014 by 85sqn
