Mal_Belford Posted July 30, 2014 Share Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Allright....Just finnished the phot session.....Still learning to take pictures...Took them outside to get that natural light....The kit is Tamiya P51D/K 1:32, my first P51 to, it were very fun to build, yep took over a yerar to finnish it, more cause ive done couple builds between, Brewster and a Fw190 with a diorama,This is my first proper try with them Alclad, it wasnt easy to get that worn alu look, it is all about prep, prep,I went for different shadings on them panels to look natrural, also one accident happened during weathering this one that ended up in a good way in the end,the cockpit sides are repainted and added another tone, so but turn them in to a benefit, yep hard work inwolved there...Thr only decals ive used is them on the side killmarks, on them gunbay hatches and fuelcaps, rest is masked and painted, i paint everything i can paint....but im pleased in the end how it turned out, had many accidenst during this one, one were that i forgot a soldering iron near the wheelbay after ive done it, the radiation heat dammaged it badly, beyon recignition l, but got help from Frank (Daywalker LSP) he ordered me new sprues with them parts on it, Thanks Frank, also help from Peter (PeterPools LSP)on them Alclads during my build and usefull tips and also from many other builders during my build.....This is my interpret of Mrs Bonnie, just got home from a long flight and in a way field worn...Hope you like it, also This one got No 13 in finnished builds since my restart. (havent builded in 20yrs, restarted approx 2 yrs ago, so much to pick up phew, back then only Hmbrol and a brush, did not know what a wash were either) got a buildlog at IPMS Gothenburg on this one and LSP Edited July 30, 2014 by Mal_Belford 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Outstanding build in every area and it's dramatic size makes this an extremely impressive replica. These are excellent photographs of this beauty, too.
