buzz
I just checked my stock of X304 BA Pearl Grey. Looks good to me. If it looks too dark to your eye, just add some white or lighter grey.
BritJet
I had some that and it looked far too dark once it was on the model. Had to strip it off and use a mix. I wouldnt use it again. Steve

buzz
I haven't bought any Xtracolor for a while but, fwiw, I have experienced variances between some of the batches. I recall some of the early X322 BA World Blue had a slight purplish tint to it and some of the X301 Boeing Grey had a brownish tint.
Jennings Heilig
Welcome to the wonderful world of scale color effect. I'm sure Xtracolor matched the real thing exactly, but on a 1/144 model it looks like the black hole of Calcutta. Like it or not, global climate change and scale color effect exist
garryrussell
Landor was a lot darker than people think Photos always lightenened it up and it did lighten up with age It was dark enough to initially have them paint the door surrounds in white Just about every Lanodor model I've seen is too light In real life in was a dark, dreary depressing livery. robvulcan
It was indeed. I often think model colours look too pale, sometime dark colors do exist. Same as real planes don't have pre shade and every panel faded in the middle. Unless they are scrapers
