Eduard's lovely MiG-15, released on general sale late last year after many months of delay, is by far and away the best kit of the type available in 1:72 (and possibly any) scale. Eduard have already released a comprehensive package of resin and photo etched goodies in support of the kit. Now Aires have got in on the act with this resin exhaust pipe.

The single part is cast in grey resin, with a pouring stub at one end. As usual, the quality of casting is exquisite. The surfaces are nice and smooth and the surface detail is clean and crisp. The only slight puzzle is that most, if not all of this detail will be invisible once the pipe is fixed inside the fuselage. Perhaps a resin engine will follow at some point so the kit can be displayed without the tail who knows? Overall then, this is a very nice piece which should be easy to use but difficult to see.
