It's a disease
Nice, just started this kit myselfHope it goes well, the cockpit decal is useless, you may want to fix it, see post 22 follow the link, there is a detail set from Eduard for this kit. The wing root starboard needs a fix too, this can be seen in that other link. It's simple enough to do (I'm new to mods but it was simple, I've built kits for ages though)Cheers. Miggers
Smart 109 indeed. A good stablemate for it would be "Stapme" Stapleton's Spit, he's the one that shot down the one that got away. Apparently,Oberleutnant von Werra was much like the U-Boat Kapitan in the famous episode of Dad's Army(all your names are goink into my book unt ven ve vin zer var......), you all know the one I mean.
It's a disease
I checked this out, yes he's the chap who was officially credited for the kill. A few other candidates exist though. Von Werra was certainly a confident man! The Von Werra section on the spitfire site gives a good account of the man. http://spitfiresite.com/2010/09/battle-of-britain-1940-franz-von-werra.html I'm glad you like my 109, thank you.
