fredben
I had this Tamiya Krupp Protze with 3.7cm Pak 1/35 in my stash and had no intention of building it for some time when i came upon a photo in "Panzer Colours" book and it i thought i would try and copy the unusual picture in the book. It's not spot on but ok. I have used Value gear for the items in the back and tissue paper on windscreen and front licence plate. Used Vallejo paints with Mig weathering products. Comments welcome. Colin.

fredben
A unique build there, thanks for sharing. It looks great! Thanks DAG058, Glad you like it, Strange place to have the artillery though. It would of slid of the back when firing. Nice bit of improvised self propelled artillery, very nice kit. Thanks Ozzy, Strange it would not push itself off the back of the truck, unless the picture was for propaganda reasons.
Ozzy
It was probably mounted on the vehicle to keep up with the infantry advance, as by the time they unhitched and put into a firing configuration. what every they were firing at May have moved, or they are behind the forward line of own troops. Where as with mounted on the vehicle all the driver has to do is point in the correct direction. I think the improvisation is fantastic.
Sgt.Squarehead
I'm not so sure.....I think if they fired it while mounted like that the recoiling gun could hurt someone quite badly and possibly wind up on the deck. On most Portees the gun is made rather more secure than we see in the photo. Maybe they had been traversing deep mud or similar at some point just before the photo was taken?
